Drone Operations Planning
- Information specific for the operation
- purpose of the operation and type
- Estimated duration
- Crew information (including pilot)
- General UAS information including takeoff payload
- Location and date
- Verification of the flight zone
- Weather forecast
- Temperature
- Humidity: water absorbs radio signal propagation
- Wind speed
- Flighting altitude: at higher altitude the air is less dense which results in loss of lift
- visibility distance
- Kp-index 2 (geomagnetic malfunction): In GPS mode with a MAX. of 4.
The two emergency situaions:
- Loss of link
- Fly away
some extra infomation to consider:
- What is the flight path?
- What might be encountered on the way?
- What are the possible emergency landing zones?
- What is the protocol to be followed in case of unexpected situations?
Information on Meteorology
On temperature:
- Diurnal cycle
